NASA Awards

NASA has selected 11 Massachusetts companies for negotiation of phase 2 contract awards in its 2004 Small Business Innovation Research program. The companies receiving the contracts each worth approximately $600,000 include:

- Aspen Aerogels, Inc., Northborough
- Busek Co., Inc., Natick
- Agiltron Corp., Woburn
- Scientific Systems Company, Inc., Woburn
- SI2 Technologies, Inc., Chelmsford
- Hittite Microwave Corp., Chelmsford
- Visidyne, Inc., Burlington
- Energid Technologies, Cambridge
- Payload Systems, Inc., Cambridge
- Boston Micromachines Corp., Watertown
- Remote Sensing Solutions, Inc., Barnstable

The goals of the program are to stimulate technological innovation; increase the use of small business, including women-owned and disadvantaged firms, in meeting federal research and development needs; and increase private sector commercialization of innovations derived from federally funded research.
